Hello, my name is Ryan.

As an English teacher, I believe that effective learning begins with understanding each student’s personal goals. I take time to learn about my students’ reasons for studying English and work with them to set clear, achievable objectives. My lessons are then tailored to help them reach these goals in a focused and meaningful way.

Depending on each learner’s needs, I offer practical lessons across a range of areas, including:

• Travel English – communication for hotels, restaurants, flights, and transport.
• Professional and Business English – formal expressions, workplace communication, and business etiquette.
• Conversational English – understanding the differences between casual and professional language in various situations.

My multicultural upbringing in Australia, combined with my experience living in Korea with my wife, allows me to bring a global perspective to my teaching. Having observed cultural and linguistic differences firsthand, I aim to create lessons that are culturally sensitive and relevant to real-life situations.

I also encourage students to share their own experiences with English — whether through signs, media such as television and films, music, or English words they encounter in Korean. By connecting the language to everyday life, I help learners build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of English in context.
